About Course

A playful phonics course for a grown-up and child (ages 3–5) to share. Your child learns to listen to sounds and blend them together – first out loud, then reading short words such as “sat”, “pin” and “tap” – the key skill for early reading.

Tutwoo Kids is an independent learning provider. This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education (DfE), Ofqual or any exam board. The certificate of completion celebrates your child’s learning; it is not a qualification.

What Will You Learn?

  • Blend spoken sounds together to hear a word (oral blending)
  • Say pure letter sounds without adding “uh”
  • Read short words made from known letter sounds, left to right
  • Grown-ups learn how to support blending in the way schools teach it
