About Course

A grammar course for children aged 5–7. Discover verbs (doing words), how the present tense tells us what is happening now and the past tense tells us what already happened, how to add -ed, which verbs change in special ways, and how to stay in the same tense when you write.

Tutwoo Kids is an independent learning provider. This course is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Department for Education (DfE), Ofqual or any exam board. The certificate of completion celebrates your child’s learning; it is not a qualification.

What Will You Learn?

  • Spot verbs and say whether they are in the past or present tense
  • Add -ed to make the past tense, and know it can sound like /t/, /d/ or /id/
  • Learn common verbs that change in special ways, such as go → went
  • Use “is …ing” and “was …ing”, and keep the same tense in your writing
